Hiroshi Senju - Falling Color. Acrylic pigments on Japanese mulberry paper, 53x53 cm (2006)
After looking back at the main invitation I decided that it needs something extra so had a little play around and decided on the last image with the leaves rather than the mini flowers because I thought they looked a bit too busy.
I got married! It was just about the most fun day I’ve ever had in my entire life. Full of love, color, guacamole and good music! I wanted to reflect a festive atmosphere with my wedding invitations and I think I might have reached that goal. What do you think?
You could make this dress however long you want; it’s just 4 rectangles. To figure out how big each piece is, measure shoulder to hem length, then girth at widest part (hips) and divide by 4. Add seam allowance. Sew allowing for neckline, arm holes. No pattern needed. 1/2 hour, maxi!
